Choosing a career in sleep medicine is an intentional decision. However, the motivation behind a decision to study sleep medicine is varied. In this issue of Montage, we explore what inspires our members, whether it be the struggles of a close relative, the desire to advance patient care, or the legacy of a legendary clinician and researcher in the field.
See how AASM members have inspired family, friends and colleagues while doing the life-changing work that they enjoy. We are grateful to our members for supporting sleep medicine and motivating those around them.
In this issue:
- Sleep Medicine in Paradise: Joys and Challenges – a conversation with Dr. Shanon Takaoka Makekau
- An Inspiration in the Sleep Medicine Field and Beyond – a tribute to Dr. Shahrokh Javaheri
- Reflections on the Life and Legacy of Dr. Christian Guilleminault
